The Los Angeles Lakers have won their last six games, which is now their longest streak of the season, but if you’ve been paying attention, it really doesn’t feel like they’ve been that good. Mostly because they haven’t. That’s why their last three took them at least one overtime to sort out despite playing against lottery teams. But impressive or not, the team still is winning, after all, and so on our latest episode of the Silver Screen and Roll podcast, host Sabreena Merchant was joined by our own Harrison Faigen to discuss the positives they've seen during what has been perhaps the least impressive winning streak ever. To start, they lauded the continued growth and development Kyle Kuzma, who has morphed into a very different player than the rookie that Lakers Twitter fell in love with, but deserves a ton of credit for so drastically changing his game in order to play winning basketball for this team. Then, after a short break, Harrison and Sabreena discussed Anthony Davis’ season, and what they want to see from him over the rest of this year when he gets back on the court (beyond just good health). We know how good Davis can be, but there are a few things he could stand to keep working on as the regular season continues. Finally, to wrap up the show, our hosts broke down their other two favorite positive parts of the win streak the Lakers have been on: The endless energy of Montrezl Harrell, and the resurgence of Wesley Matthews.
